SDWAN Network

Recently, one of the most recognizable trends in the infrastructure market is SDWAN networks, which aim to ensure greater reliability, efficiency, and scalability for dispersed institutions. At the same time, they offer the possibility of secure connections for users, applications, and data centers.

Designed for companies with multiple branches that have more than one link, preferably internet, SDWAN allows for both more efficient use and easier bandwidth management. Traditionally, WAN networks based on technologies like MPLS were challenging to manage, prone to errors, and troubleshooting was grounded in traditional metrics, such as latency.

Modern SDWAN networks are based on multiple metrics focused on measuring the actual comfort of working on a specific link. They can present results in an accessible manner, and additionally, can intelligently decide to change the link for an ongoing session in case of quality degradation.

Opening up to SDWAN networks built on internet links also allows for bypassing traffic to data centers, to our security stack, for outgoing traffic towards applications available in the SaaS model. Replacing MPLS links also reduces costs and administrative overheads. Moreover, it simplifies the business model, as it removes the need to have a link from the same operator at every location.

It's also worth mentioning the possibility of various integrations, including with IoT systems, which are out of reach for traditional WAN networks based on routers.
