VOIP telephony,
unified communication (UC)
Unified IP communication and collaboration tools are the successors to classic VoIP solutions.
General information

Modern communication based on IP protocol is a combination of the classic VoIP telephony system with a group cooperation system enabling safe and comfortable work on projects, file exchange, creating multilateral video conferences or easy connection with people from outside the organisation.

Nowadays, classic VoIP telephony based on audio communication is not enough. More and more companies desire visual communication and tools that will increase the effectiveness and productivity without the additional effort related to learning how to use a new system. The unified communication and cooperation systems of the leading producers make it possible to achieve that goal providing the highest quality and the best support, which translates directly into saved time and money.

We are able to adjust and design the ideal solution for each client based on proposals of leading technologies. Starting from classic VoIP systems based on the proven Cisco Unified Communications Manager (Call Manager) and ending with the extensive teleconference systems and cloud solutions. The undoubted advantage of the Collaboration Cisco system is its modularity and coherence – all the elements form an integral whole. At the beginning, we can build IP telephony based on classic VoIP telephony and then, on the basis of the same virtual telephone exchange, we may enhance the system with advanced teleconference functions, add video terminals, which are managed in a centralised manner together with classic telephones, or integrate them with the enterprise's communicator.

Elements of the Collaboration on-premise system:

  • CUCM (Cisco Unified Communications Manager) – telephone exchange – responsible for connecting telephone calls and management of telephones and video terminals,
  • IMP (Instant Messaging and Presence) – support for the enterprise's communicator, instant messaging and statuses,
  • CMS (Cisco Meeting Server) – an advanced module for teleconferences and video meetings,
  • Expressway – responsible for safe communication with the B2B outside world; it processes video calls outside the organisation,
  • CUBE (Cisco Unified Border Element) – the voice gateway responsible for the PSTN interface,
  • TMS (TelePresence Management Suite) – responsible for managing and planning conference meetings.

Cisco Spark platform constitutes an alternative to the on-premise environment. It is a cloud-based system for communication inside and outside the company. It enables the creation of groups of users who are supposed to cooperate with each other. They have the possibility to share text messages, various types of files, as well as create schemes and drawings together and participate in video conferences.

Cisco Spark can be integrated with a cloud individual Cisco WebEx account, platform used for the purpose of organisation of meetings (webinars), online trainings or provision of remote support.

One of the great advantages of Cisco Spark is the ability to record and support almost any Cisco video terminal, directly in the cloud. It eliminates the need for a full Collaboration on-premise infrastructure, which in turn reduces the time required for the implementation of a videoconferencing system to just a few minutes.

The cloud environment can be a separate independent system, but it can be integrated with the existing Collaboration on-premise infrastructure using the so-called hybrid option which allows, for example, to use the Spark communicator to connect with the PSTN network.

One of the integral components of Collaboration on-premise and cloud-based systems are terminal devices such as classic IP phones and video terminals, e.g. desktop devices, integrators and large devices with multiple screens.

A wide range of terminal devices complements the range of on-premise and cloud solutions:

IP telephones

  • classic,
  • with video function,
  • for conference rooms,
  • wireless,
  • with the possibility of registering directly in the Cisco Spark cloud.

Video terminals

  • integration kits for use with the existing screens or TVs,
  • all-in-one devices with single or multiple screens for conference rooms,
  • desktop devices,
  • with the possibility of registering directly in the Cisco Spark cloud.

The benefits package is considerable, as it includes:

  • saved time, reduced number of business trips and face to face meetings in favour of video meetings,
  • effective cooperation in a team,
  • centralisation of services,
  • safe communication,
  • simple, quick and trouble-free implementation using the Cisco Spark cloud option,
  • teleconferences based on Cisco Spark without worrying about the existing infrastructure,
  • safe mobile work.
