CWDM and DWDM - Efficiently utilize your fiber-optic network resources and reduce information transmission costs with one of the two most popular multiplexing techniques.
About the service
CWDM (Coarse Wavelength Division Multiplexing) and DWDM (Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing) are two pivotal WDM multiplexing techniques. They allow for the transmission of multiple signals with different wavelengths over a single optical fiber. In the case of DWDM, the gap between channels is smaller, permitting a larger number of channels within the same light bandwidth. For CWDM, the gap between channels is more extensive, facilitating the transmission of signals over greater distances without the need for regeneration, but at the expense of fewer channels within the same light bandwidth. Typically, CWDM is suitable for simpler applications where the needs are limited to relatively short distances of around 100-120 km and a few to several transmission channels.
Apius Technologies offers a wide selection of xWDM systems from renowned manufacturers, enabling the transmission of optical signals over long distances with minimal signal loss. We design xWDM systems prioritizing high reliability and ease of use, which ensures rapid implementation and cost maintenance reduction. With xWDM, clients can enhance the bandwidth of their networks and improve data transmission performance while maintaining high signal quality. We adopt solutions in various configurations and scales, making them easily customizable to individual needs and requirements. Ultimately, our clients can reduce the number of required cables and save space in their data centers, translating to lower costs and increased flexibility in transmission network management.
