About the service

cWDM (Coarse Wavelength Division Multiplexing) and DWDM (Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing) are two key WDM (Wavelength Division Multiplexing) techniques, which involve transmitting multiple signals of different wavelengths in a single fiber optic cable. In the case of DWDM, the gap between channels is smaller, allowing for a greater number of channels within one light spectrum. For CWDM, the gap between channels is larger, enabling signal transmission over longer distances without the need for regeneration, but at the expense of a smaller number of channels within one light spectrum. Typically, CWDM is used for simpler applications where customer needs are confined to relatively short distances of around 100-120km and a few to several transmission channels.

Apius Technologies offers a broad range of xWDM systems from reputable manufacturers, enabling the transmission of optical signals over long distances with minimal signal loss. We design xWDM systems with high reliability and user-friendliness in mind, allowing for rapid implementation and minimizing maintenance costs. With xWDM, clients can enhance their network bandwidth and improve data transmission performance, while maintaining high signal quality. We adopt solutions in various configurations and scales, making it easy to tailor them to individual customer needs and requirements. Ultimately, our clients can reduce the number of required cables and save space in their data centers, leading to lower costs and greater flexibility in managing their transmission network.
